5 Examples of Consumer AR & VR Available Today

In 2014, I posted that a renaissance was coming for virtual (VR) and augmented reality (AR), and today (2017), I believe that to be true. In 2014, we saw Samsung and others lowering the barriers to entry for VR with cheaper headsets; coupled with faster processors in smartphones to handle intense graphics. Today, almost anyone can experience VR with Google Cardboard and a smartphone.

Imagine you are CEO of a publicly traded company, and one of your employees has found an error in the books from the previous year. The error is that your company owes another company $1 million. The books from last year are closed and audited. There was no shady embezzlement on the part of your employees or the company, it was an accounting error due to complex contract agreements.

You have 2 choices:

Georgia Tech Capstone Spring 2017 Recap

One of my favorite events at Georgia Tech is the semi-annual Capstone Expo. This is an event where students show off their senior design projects ranging from corporate sponsored to “make the world a better place” projects across all majors and disciplines. There are literally hundreds of senior design projects on display at McCamish Pavilion twice a year.

At the GT Capstone Expo on April 25, 2017, I concentrated on projects in 4 main categories: Drones, ROI value, Smart Home, and Augmented & Virtual Reality (AR / VR). I created and uploaded videos
